We are delighted to confirm that we have been shortlisted for two awards within the 2020 Women in Pensions awards. Leonardo has been shortlisted for the Organisational award for Supporting Diversity, reflecting our initiatives to improve diversity across our trustee boards, pensions consultative committees and the work championed by our pensions governance team to support wider diversity initiatives across the business and to make our Schemes more reflective of their membership. Our DC Pensions & Benefits Manager, Louise Dale, chairs Leonardo’s gender-balance network.
Alongside the corporate nomination, our DB Pensions Manager, Rachael Skuse, has been shortlisted for the Pensions Manager of the Year award. This primarily reflects the complex pensions projects delivered during 2019/20 including the introduction of a Pension Increase Exchange option for members of the Leonardo Helicopters Pension Scheme, and the completion of a £160 million buy-in of Leonardo Electronics Pension Scheme’s pensioner liabilities. Rachael works flexibly to fulfill family commitments whilst continuing to provide high standards of governance to our pension schemes.
