Retirement course

Retirement is an exciting time, but it also represents a big lifestyle change which can sometimes seem a bit daunting.

The Pensions team regularly arranges two-day retirement courses to help you as you prepare for your retirement. The course includes:

• life after work
• various hobbies and activities in the local area
• presentations from the Pensions Team
• a talk from a financial adviser
• a talk from a solicitor who specialises in Wills
• State Pension information
• tax issues and allowances
• free travel passes – within Somerset and beyond
• other benefits – TV licence, winter fuel payments, etc.
• other pension issues – how to trace a lost pension
• volunteering.

There are currently no retirement course dates. This page will be updated as soon as there are dates available.
